How to Make the Cookies

1. Prepare the dough
Cream the butter and sugars together until smooth and slightly fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla and mix in the red colouring mixture then mix until combined.

2. Add the dry ingredients
In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until a soft cookie dough forms.

3. Add the Ruby Bloom details
Gently fold in the white chocolate pieces and red berries. Mix only until evenly distributed.

4. Shape the heart cookies
Place heart-shaped metal moulds on a lined baking tray. Spoon the dough into each mould and gently press it into an even layer, keeping the heart shape clearly defined.

5. Finish with berries
Press a few red berries gently into the surface of each heart so that some remain visible after baking.

6. Bake
Bake at [temperature] for approximately [time], or until the edges are golden and the centre is set.

7. Cool and unmould
Allow the cookies to cool slightly before carefully removing the heart-shaped moulds. Let them finish cooling before serving or packaging.

A Sweet Gift Idea

Once completely cooled, the heart-shaped cookie can be placed inside a matching tin and finished with ribbon or a small card. The simple packaging turns the bake into a personal handmade gift.

Baking Notes

For the strongest Ruby Bloom look, keep a few red berries visible on the surface and avoid pressing the dough completely smooth. The heart shape should feel handmade rather than factory-perfect.

A Final Thought from Vida

Baking does not need to look perfect to feel special. Sometimes the most beautiful details come from the little differences in colour, shape, and texture.

A little wildness can make something sweet feel unforgettable.
